The Orion Independent Music Festival in Park City 2010
The Orion Independent Music Festival was established to create a vibrant culture wherein artists can establish relationships with music industry insiders. This will spawn new opportunities to further the artist’s career and allow labels to sign new and innovative talent. Independent artist’s live performances will also be open to the public. This is not just a festival, this is a music revolution!
Points of Interest:
1) The Festival will take place in various clubs and performance venues in Park City and extending into Salt Lake City from Thursday, January 14th-Wednesday, January 20th, 2010.
2) Up to 60 of the top independent, cutting edge recording artists/bands specifically singer/songwriters, from up to 12 different genres, as well as music industry executives/representatives will be chosen and contracted to travel to Park City/Salt Lake City, Utah for the festival.
3) Singer/songwriters will play in various clubs with will provide a venue wherein they will gain exposure to independent labels, booking agents, digital and retail distribution companies, artist management firms.
4) Participating clubs, restaurants, and coffee houses will provide a daily networking opportunities with other artists/bands.
5) Music videos from each participating recording artist will be featured on a daily rotation at a local theater and receive airplay on local TV.
6) Hess Travel is our official travel sponsor and will be offering special discounts to all labels, artists, and official venue participants. Discounted skiing will also be available.
7) Discounted hotel rates, menus at participating restaurants will be available to all official festival artists through Hess Travel.
